Icon 36 Hotel - Hanoi

The location of the hotel is incredibly convenient, with popular attractions such as Dong Xuan Market just a 5-minute walk away. It's like having a treasure trove right at your doorstep!

Limited parking space.

Hotel is SUPERIOR in general. A private safe, multi-channel TV and a work desk in our superior king room were realy useful during our stay. The restaurant was located within 700 feet.

I stayed at Dong Thanh hotel and i felt compelled to let other travellers know how excellent this place is. We used the hotel as a base whilst we took trips to Halong Bay (which they organised) and Hoi An. The Manager and his team could not do enough to help, they organised taxi's as and when we needed and helped us find our way around Hanoi - the hotel has a fantastic location right in the middle of the Old Quarter to explore and get around from. They booked our cruise on Halong Bay and we discovered that we had paid about $50 less per person than anyone else on the cruise booking through "Agents" and we secured the best rooms. The hotel itself is clean and functional, they look after bags if you don't want to take them with you on short trips and saved all our billing until our last ngiht even though we left in between which was so much easier for us. If i ever go back to Hanoi i will not be looking anywhere else. Service was stunning, location great and they seriously could not do enought to help us with our travel plans. Believe the reviews and book today!

The rooms at Icon 36 Hotel were absolutely wonderful! They were so comfortable and cozy, and I really loved the modern design. Everything was clean and tidy, and the bed was so comfortable that I had the best night's sleep. Plus, having my own private bathroom made me feel like I was in my own little sanctuary.

Personally, I found the rainfall showerhead in the bathroom to be a bit too strong for my liking. But hey, that's just my opinion.

Overall experience: We really enjoyed our stay at the Dong Thanh, only staying for the 1 night - but wishing we had booked more. Will definitely look at booking them again when I'm back in Hanoi. Great service, great value, great amenities. Not much more you can ask for. Location: In the old town, near the lake and near many places to eat. Price: Great value. Affordable price with great amenities. Staff: All staff were friendly and helpful, many thanks to Ms Thao who offered great recommendations and helped with the confusion over a taxi to the airport. Room: Spacious, clean and comfortable. Fruit on arrival. And the PC with wireless was very useful.

Resturant did not look interesting.

The location of this hotel is absolutely perfect. It is right in the heart of the old quarter of Hanoi, with everything within walking distance. You can explore the bustling streets and markets without having to go far from the hotel.

Everything was perfect.

All the staff were both helpful and friendly. It was never too much to ask to receive an extra cup of coffee at breakfast. Reception staff were more than happy to make phone calls on our behalf to reserve on-going accommodation and enquire about bus/train timetables etc.Mr Binh, the Hotel Manager arranged our trip to Halong Bay and Cat Ba Island. We really enjoyed our stay at Dong Thanh Hotel, Hanoi. Many thanks once again Mr Binh for your fantastic hospitality and arranging everything for us. We would recommend this hotel to any one staying in Hanoi.

- Quite nice location, in walking distance to many place of attractions and good restaurants, I could ask a map and many helpful information from the friendly english and spain speaking front office.. - Really easy to book by email. - Dong Thanh hotel was also really helpful if you need to reserve the tour along with the room booking.

Central location and friendly staff. the hotel is located in the perfect spot for exploring the city. the staff were so friendly and accommodating, always happy to help with any requests. the room was also clean and had a decent view.

The hotel could benefit from some upgrades and renovations. the bathroom was outdated and smelled unpleasant.

This small hotel is conveniently situated in the Old Quarter and provided a beautiful clean room inc. tea making facilities, hair dryer and most important an excellent shower!! I arranged a private tour of Vietnam with the help of Ms Hang who went beyond the usual help of making a booking. My guide spoke excellent English and our driver proved to be the best we have seen and used in SE Asia!! I also booked a trip to Ha Long Bay via the hotel and again, cannot fault the service provided.

Location, cleanliness, quiet rooms with windows facing the courtyard (which is very important for such a noisy city like Hanoi), good breakfast.

Having trouble paying your credit card. Staff tried to prove what it does not work. Tried to force us to pay in dollars. Before this evening we discussed the form of payment. We refused. Then came another worker, card start good and everything was fine.

This hotel is a hidden gem in the heart of Hanoi's Old Quarter. The location is perfect, with everything within walking distance. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay, providing excellent service and attention to detail. The rooms are comfortable and clean, some with a Vietnamese view from the balcony. And the breakfast served is absolutely delicious, starting the day off on a high note.

No downsides, everything was perfect.

I cant say enough great things about this hotel. The staff are incredibly attentive, anticipating your every need before you have a chance to voice it. The rooms are clean and modern. Only wish they had more locations in Vietnam!
